Chunky Solid Wood Shelves with Steel Brackets - Depth 22cm

| These chunky steel bracket
shelves are hand made in our Hertfordshire workshop from solid pieces
of ethically produced slow growing Scandinavian Redwood Pine. Redwood's slow growth produces a denser
wood with a richer grain pattern than the more commonly used pines,
which we try hard to bring out. We shape, sand, and work the wood enough
to make it smooth and tactile, but not so much that we lose the wood’s
original beauty, leaving the knots, cracks, and even the saw marks from
the mill, which all add to the wood's character. Then we seal and protect
the shelf with two coats of carefully applied coloured ‘Original
Briwax’ then buff it to a satin shine. We think these shelves look great in
almost any room or setting, from shabby chic, traditional, or farmhouse,
to contemporary. |
