| We use repurposed scaffold
boards and industrial syle 14 inch raw steel hairpin legs to make these
popular rustic/industrial style coffee tables. We love the look of the knots in the wood, the cracks, and even the saw marks from the mill, so we try hard to work with these features and preserve as much of this natural character as possible. We carefully select the best scaffold boards - looking at grain and character - then we cut and biscuit joint them together before sanding by hand and finishing with three coats of carefully applied Fiddes 'Rugger Brown' wax. The wax protects the wood and gives it a beautiful deep and warm natural looking medium oak colour and satin shine. We think these coffee tables look great in a variety of settings and room styles. |
